ANNIE & ADAM
September 29, 2018
WEDDING WEEKEND
Welcome Drinks

While this was one of the earliest places that Annie brought Adam, their first official date in town was a Bikram hot yoga class. She wanted to see if Adam could cut it.

This place is home and we're excited to have you here.

The last stop on our road trip across the US. It's also where we frequently "stretch" (aka take a break) on our runs around Marblehead Neck.

TRAVEL
Your Trip to Boston

PLANE: Fly to Logan International Airport (BOS). Swampscott is 12 miles from Boston. Topsfield is ~30 miles from the city.

TRAIN: If you are coming from NYC or DC, take Amtrak to South Station in Boston.

CAR: For some guests, renting a car may be the best option. For great rental car options, we like using Kayak to find a vehicle.

Travel to the Wedding

We realize that many of you may be driving to Willowdale.
Please note that traffic will be very heavy in and around
Topsfield because it is the first weekend of the Topsfield
Fair. We highly recommend leaving extra time for travel to
ensure that you arrive at Willowdale Estate by 4:45 PM.

SHUTTLES: We will provide shuttle transportation from the Courtyard Danvers and the Marriott Peabody. Please arrive early in the lobby and stand by the front door.
Buses will depart at the times below:
-
From Courtyard Danvers: 3:30 PM
-
From Marriott Peabody: 4:00 PM

Parking

FRIDAY & SUNDAY IN SWAMPSCOTT: It's Annie's town and she says you can park anywhere! Adam says that you should still pay attention to road signs. For both the Welcome Drinks on Friday & the Farewell Brunch on Sunday, we recommend parking along Humphrey Street.

SATURDAY AT WILLOWDALE ESTATE: Our venue has parking so feel free to drive. Once you are in clear view of the estate, you will see parking to your right.
ACCOMMODATIONS
We strongly encourage you to book your accommodations as soon as possible.
If you're visiting from out of town, we suggest staying in Marblehead or Salem. These historic towns bring you closer to both Topsfield and Swampscott, where our weekend festivities are taking place. Below, we've put together a short list of hotels and inns that we hope can be helpful as you plan your stay.

We arranged reduced rates at the Marriott Peabody based in Peabody, MA and the Courtyard Marriott in Danvers, MA. Most accommodations in Marblehead and Salem do not allow room blocks so we encourage you to scroll through our other recommendations below. If you have any questions, please reach out to us!

We hope you save the date! You may recognize this shot from some recent mail you received. xo

If you come to Swampscott, you'll likely see this. It's a family favorite to walk to the end and back.

Adam lived in London for a year, which meant lots of tea for Annie & fun British dates like this one.

Best "bang for your buck" hike that we've ever been on. It's a mountain called Lion's Head in South Africa.

Adam's favorite beach in Swampscott. But only when Annie's there.

That's what it's actually called. The tradition of lovers kissing under it for good luck led to its nickname. We think it worked.

Right before the sun set, we saw a double rainbow up here. We ended up hiking down in the dark because we lingered so long.

False hope of being on the cover of a magazine fueled this shot.

Just kidding. One day in our life. At a friend's wedding.

Horrifying. Why did we do this? Fun fact: Annie's brother is named Aran after the Aran Islands in Ireland (where we are here).

Hopefully it won't be as cold as it was in this picture if you visit.

In recent years, we've grown soft, but for 5 years straight, we started Jan 1st off right with a dip at Fisherman's Beach.

Best NYC snowstorm. 2 ft in 24 hours. Instead of grocery shopping (which we desperately needed), we went to the park!

You sign your life away, but this was beyond fun. Except for the electrocution part. We may skip that next time.

Soon after graduating college, we took a trip to France with our families. Adam's French skills were moderately helpful :)
